This is modern Power Amplifier based on BLF188XR LDMOS transistor.  PA has all the protection, such as

• overheat protection
• RF input overdrive protection
• SWR and RF output power exceeding
• over current protection
• power supply voltage

PA has internal sequencer to control RX/TX switching and PA can control external LNA
